Digital luxmeter LX-2 measures a light intensity. It is designed for the precise measurement at dusk and dawn. The module also contains digital outputs, which can be switched on and off at desired light intensity levels. This feature can be used for automated control of electrical lights (e.g. public lighting, lights at a railway platform)
It consists of an evaluation unit and a sensor. A cable up to 30 m long can connect these units together.
LX-2 allows measuring the light level from 2 sensors. Module also contains two relay outputs that can be automatically turned on/off according to current light level. It is possible to set the light levels for switching, a hysteresis and a time delay.
Modbus protocol at RS485 line is used to transfer measured values and to set the configurations. It is also possible to control and correct parameters of digital outputs controlling algorithm.
It is also possible to connect the module by means of third party RS485/ethernet converters to LAN/WAN networks, which extends its usability to wide area lights control and monitoring.
