Measurement Assembly For Two-phase Signalling Relay Measurement

Two phased relays are used as safety signalling relays to evaluate occupancy of a track circuit. Precision and correctness of substantial parameters measurement is an unconditional need for relays use as an important railway safety device.

The measurement assembly is used to measure all basic parameters of signalling relays DSR, DSŠ:
  • impedance of coils
  • resistance of coils
  • residual voltage
  • ideal phase angle
  • full attraction and drop of yoke
  • reliable drop of yoke

Assembly consists of following pieces:

  • controlled two phase power source
  • stand of an adjustable height
  • controlling software
  • Personal computer (not a part of delivery)

Measurement is carried on the measurement assembly connected to a personal computer. Two-phase power source contains two generators of sinus waveforms with power amplifiers and measurement modules. The measurement modules acquire values of current and voltage on measured coils. The assembly computes both an absolute value and a phase angle. From latter values impedances of coils are computed. It is possible to change the phase angle of generated signals in the range of 0° to 360°. The assembly is equipped by USB interface and EIA/TIA-232. Controlling software allows comfortable control of the power source, input of measurement parameters and acquired data archive. The software also allows printing measurement protocols and labels. Measurement technique is in accordance with ČD T115/1 prescription „Repairs of changeable parts of safety signalling devices.
